Nugateau is Pastry Perfection

March 27, 2016
The classic éclair is elevated to such delicious new heights by Nugateau that we gobbled up one (okay, two) faster than you can say "dulce de leche." The Queen West cafe is blessing the 6 with not only out-of-this-world éclairs in flavours such as Persian Pistachio and Japanese Matcha but also a specialty hot chocolate. The delectable desserts made fresh daily are the work of pastry chef Atul Palghadmal (formerly of Jelly Modern Doughnuts) and we hear city-centric and savoury selections (foie gras, for one) are soon to come.

Expect a city-wide uptick in the number of cavities and in waistline sizes (but it’ll be worth every sweet bite). — Karen Kwan
