TB-perfectly-H, my daughter gets worked up about a range of things. She is, after all, a typical toddler. But her reaction when she first saw the Domestic Objects teepee play tent her dad and I set up for her in the living room was pretty well off the excitement chart. Basically, her little mind was blown.
I don’t blame her. Domestic Objects—a Vancouver-based company founded by mom-of-two Sarah Jagger—makes (and ships, worldwide) the most-adorable children’s (and pet!) play tents with the simple goal of spurring imaginative play (translation: iPads off, make-believe hats on). They’re roomy inside (even my bench-pressing hubby squeezed in for a tea party with the little lady) and, whether you opt for a plain canvas, polka-dot or striped tent (to match your décor, natch), each is made by hand with love and all-natural fabrics. There’s even a play tent canopy bed that fits a twin or single mattress, plus a campfire accessories set complete with felt flames, fire logs and giant marshmallows on roasting sticks to set the stage for fun!
We—er, SHE loves her tent so much, we’re giving the same one, in natural unbleached cotton canvas that can be decorated as you please, away to one lucky winner (includes a padded mat base and two pillows for a total value of $260). Enter to win here—and happy kiddie camping! —Noa Nichol
