Kid Stuff at Ikea

November 9, 2017

Just in time for the holidays, Ikea has released its ridiculously adorable (and third annual) Sagoskatt soft toy collection ($4 each). Children from around the globe were asked to submit a drawing inspired by their dreams. Out of an incredible 70,000 entries, 10 winners were selected based on the most unique designs. There’s a friendly hippo/crocodile with no teeth, a smiling rainbow cloud, a fox with extremely long ears and even a Dachshund with a horn (warning: may induce giggles!).

The best thing about these delightful creations is that 100 per cent of the proceeds are donated to local charities through the company’s Let’s Play for Change campaign. Funds are distributed specifically to programs that support children’s right to play and develop in the most vulnerable communities. This is a cause we can most definitely get behind.

Additionally, if you have a mini Picasso on your hands, the drawing competition is on now in-stores and the winners will be announced in the new year. —Rachel Johnston
