clean routine. Every great hairstyle starts with a great cleansing routine. This is key for the foundation of a long-lasting hairstyle. Plus, a wedding day is a LONG DAY, so you want to make sure your hair is cleansed and maintained! Wash hair either the night before or morning of with a cleansing shampoo and conditioner like Herbal Essences Refresh Blue Ginger and Micellar Water Shampoo and Conditioner. This collection uses micelles to gently lift dirt and oil and will add dimension and volume to your hair.
dry run. Once you’ve set your foundation, use a blow dryer and blow your hair to 80 per cent dryness with just your hands for volume and texture, then grab a boar-bristle round brush and smooth the hair until dry, paying special attention to the hair around your face.
in the middle. Next up: create a middle part! Then, use a three-centimetre curling iron to create a loose wave. Once your waves are in, use Herbal Essences White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint Volume Dry Shampoo to texturize and break up the waves.
go low. create a low ponytail letting pieces fall out around the face. Secure your ponytail with a hooked elastic.
top knot. To create the bun, split your ponytail into two sections and wrap them around each other. Once you’re at the end, start to coil the lengths of the hair around the back of the ponytail. Secure the bun with large hair pins.
ready, set. Once your look is set, spray a mist of Herbal Essences Volume Airspray to keep strands in place. And if you want to feel like royalty on your wedding day, go ahead and finish the look with your own tiara!
