After travelling around the world, the 1600 Pandas+ World Tour is set to roll into Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, B.C., on July 10th, to charm—and educate—the people of Greater Vancouver until August 8th.
The exhibit features 888 papier-mâché pandas by French artist Paulo Grangeon and will raise awareness for wildlife conservation, pandas and sustainability. Panda-themed activities will be taking place in the mall’s Grand Court through the duration of the exhibit (think selfie stations, contests and papier-mâché panda adoptions) to raise funds for conservation, research and education though the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) of Canada.
Also, don’t miss the Panda Flash Mobs "paw"-ping up around Greater Vancouver! (Hint: one location is in front of the Olympic cauldron at Jack Poole Plaza on July 5th.) —Noa Nichol
