6 Cool-Weather Ways to Tie Your Scarf

The fall (winter?) breezes have begun to blow, and a scarf is the perfect go-with on these crisp autumn days. Whether you’re wearing something casual with leggings or jeans, or going a bit more glam with glitz and sparkles, a scarf tied in a clever, fun or unique way can up your style factor tenfold. —Jennifer Cox

classic loop. Fold your scarf in half and drape it around your neck. Thread the two loose ends through the loop on the other side. You can then double-knot it for a spin on the classic.

the necklace. This is just as it sounds. Fold your scarf in half and tie the two loose ends in a knot. Put the looped scarf around your neck, twist, and wrap it around your neck again. Adjust the two loops to your liking.

long and casual. Drape the scarf around your neck and tie a knot in the middle of the right side. Now thread the left side through the knot and adjust to the length you’d like.

european flair. Fold your scarf in half and drape it around your neck. Thread one of the loose ends through the loop on the other side. Grab the other loose end and thread it through the loop from the opposite side.

on the flip side. Drape one-third of the scarf around your neck and use the longer end to make one loose loop around your neck. Tie the two loose ends together on the shorter side and adjust the decorative knot fashionably on your shoulder.

pulling double duty. Loop the scarf around your neck twice so that the two loose ends hang in front. Criss-cross one side and tuck it into the top of the wraps, and then do the same with the other side.
