All the Reasons We’re Celebrating Lunar New Year at Oakridge

January 28, 2019

With a seemingly endless roster of events happening throughout February, there’s no shortage of Lunar New Year festivities this year at Vancouver’s Oakridge Centre! From a fashion exhibition of local and Asian designers to kids’ crafts and live cultural entertainment, there’s so much to see and do (and so many ways to celebrate the Year of the Pig!). Be sure to check out Taiwanese sculpture artist Yi-Lun Yao’s “The Mighty Boar” piggy bank; when you insert a coin into the bank it will greet your donation with a receptive “oink”! See the schedule below, and visit oakridgecentre.com for updates throught the month! —Vita Daily
