Our friends at Business in Vancouver are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their Influential Women in Business Awards!
This year, the awards are recognizing outstanding businesswomen in private- or public-sector companies throughout B.C. Honourees have risen through the ranks to become senior executives or entrepreneurs. Through corporate board placements they help influence and shape policy at some of Canada’s largest companies. As always, the number and high-calibre of nominees for the awards were impressive. Read the profiles of all of this year’s winners here.
In the spirit of celebrating success and championing future leaders, two new awards have been added to this year’s program: a Rising Star award presented to an outstanding young woman who, through her desire to constantly push boundaries and empower women and minorities, has made a positive impact on the community, and a bursary presented to a woman who has shown leadership and perseverance in the face of financial hardship, in memoriam of past Influential Women in Business Award winner Michelle Pockey.
The awards happen March 8th, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, and Dress for Success Vancouver will once again be collecting clothing and monetary donations during registration on the day of the event. Purchase your tickets here today! —Vita Daily
