We’re all over the idea of pampering ourselves, but who has time for a spa-week or a yoga retreat? Most days, even an hour-long massage is too much time to spare. The premise behind self-care is simply carving out a little time for yourself, and there are five easy things you can do right now that will fill you with feel-good vibes, even as a woman on the go. —Jeanine Gordon

meditation. As little as five minutes of eyes-closed, deep breathing gives you the benefits of meditation. If you need a little help getting Zen, there are tonnes of meditation apps to guide you, like InsightTimer or Calm.

at-home facial. Skip the spa and grab a mask like this moisturizing rose one or this luxe brightening version. Stay home and give your skin some TLC while you Netflix and bliss out.

gratitude journal. No matter how stressed you are, there’s always something to be thankful for. Start a gratitude journal (à la Oprah Winfrey) and jot down three positive things every day. You can be grateful for something significant like your family or your health, or even just one of life’s simple pleasures, like that yummy peanut butter smoothie you had this morning.

social media hiatus. From FOMO to vacation envy, social media has its drawbacks that can leave us feeling drained. Stop the cycle and make a conscious choice to stay off social media for a day, or even for a few hours, and you’ll feel refreshed after giving your mind a much-needed break from constant scrolling.

sleep tight. Give yourself the gift of a good night’s sleep—a treat with a big-time payoff. Turn in early, avoid screen time before bed, open your windows for fresh air and try a lavender essential oil room spray to send you into slumber feeling relaxed and ready for rest. You’ll wake up feeling like a new woman when you sleep well—you deserve it!
