Fall Trends to Try

October 22, 2019

As temps drop trends change, and we cannot wait to incorporate them into our fall routine and home. From beauty to décor, these are some of the fall trends we are most eager to try! —Vicki Duong

fall trend

vampy lip. While deeper shades might not be a new trend for fall, MAC’s new Cosmetics Love Me Lipstick ($23) is a fresh take on the traditional lipstick. Infused with argan oil, the formula leaves a satin finish for moisturized and fully pigmented lips. Our choice pick is the shade Maison Rouge: the perfect burgundy red for fall outings.

fall trend

monochromatic mattes. Summer might have been about shimmers and glitter, but this fall we’re ready to make a statement with matte shadows. Stila’s Suede Liquid Shadow ($31) makes tonal eye looks as easy as a quick swipe of its pearl-infused formula. Feeling bold? Try the shade Enchanted Earth for a true olive green pop of colour.

fall trend

sunless glow. Just ’cause the weather’s getting colder doesn’t mean we can’t maintain our summer glow. We’re loving the fragrance-free Sleep Mask Tan Face ($44) by James Read, especially since we can wear it to bed and wake up bronzed, no sun-soaking needed.

fall trend

luscious smackers. Is it really fall if we don’t indulge in a little bit of pumpkin spice? No longer just for lattes, Lush’s limited-edition lip scrub in Pumpkin Spice ($11) is a blend of sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin-seed butter that leaves your lips ultra soft while tasting like pie!

fall trend

clean beauty. With shorter days it can be hard to find the motivation to spend time shopping for the newest in green beauty brands. Fret not, Jiyubox ($60) is prepared to do the legwork for you. Thoughtfully curated for the season, subscribers can expect four to six clean-beauty products every three months delivered right to their door.

fall trend

shaving made simple. While baring our skin may be reserved for warmer months, some of us still try and keep up with our shaving routine. Enter Joy Shave ($9), a new-to-Canada razor brand bringing affordable razor subscriptions straight to your door. Available in pink or teal, Joy Shave is flattering in your bathroom while offering four refills for only $12.

fall trend

wall art. A fall refresh can do wonders for your home. One of our favourite (budget-friendly) ways to change our décor to reflect cooler temps is to switch out our art prints to something cosy. One of our favourite prints is Stair Nowhere ($55) by Vancouver-based artist Matt Osborn from Blank Space Studio.

fall trend

take a seat. For a modern and minimalist home update look no further than the Mobila Loïc Next01 bench ($699). Designed by Montreal-based designer and woodworker, Loïc Bard the namesake bench features rounded corners making this a sleek addition to any space. Available in two shades, both boost esthetics and functionality.
