We were whisked away to Whistler earlier this month to see the latest products showcased at the London Drugs Beauty Conference. After meeting with so many of our favourite cosmetic companies and skin-care brands to learn about their latest beauty innovations, we’ve rounded up our five favourite products: tried, tested and available at your local London Drugs retailer. —Lyndi Barrett

elizabeth arden vitamin c ceramide capsules ($106). Each one of these capsules contains the perfect dose of Radiance Renewal Serum, packed with vitamin C. This can be a very unstable ingredient, so the packaging ensures the vitamin is not compromised by light or air. Twist off the top of the biodegradable capsule and apply to your skin after cleansing. The serum brightens and evens skin tone, giving you a healthy glow. Since the formula is a dry oil, it is quickly absorbed by your skin, giving you the maximum beauty benefits without an oily texture.

lancôme idole fragrance ($135). The beautiful Idôle fragrance from Lancôme is housed in the world’s thinnest perfume bottle. It’s the perfect modern design, resembling an iPhone with delicate rose-gold details. This classic floral scent features jasmine and rose with notes of citrus, white musk and vanilla. It’s an elegant and refreshing fragrance, and the slim bottle can be refilled.

clarin’s plant gold. Clarin’s classic face oil has been reinvented in a new double formula. The blue orchid face treatment oil has been combined with a lightweight moisturiser in a new Plant Gold Emulsion. This botanical blend is incredibly soothing and hydrating. The essential oils include hazelnut, macadamia and grapeseed oil that nourish, soften and revitalize your skin.

burt’s bees cosmetics. Burt’s Bee is known for amazing moisturizing products, and now it has launched a cosmetics collection. It’s created with natural ingredients and is formulated without parabens, talc or synthetic fragrances. We’re loving the lip and cheek stick for the perfect wash of colour as well as the Nourishing Mascara. The 100 per cent natural formula is made with responsibly sourced jojoba oil and community sourced beeswax, giving you long, soft lashes.

avène hydrance aqua cream in gel ($43). If you need a deeply hydrating moisturizer, look no further than Avène Hydrance Aqua Cream in Gel. It contains 75 per cent thermal spring water, which is an intensely hydrating. This is a new and innovative product that’s an "all in one" cream. It has a fresh gel texture that provides long-lasting hydration but is still light and quickly absorbed by your skin. It can be used like a regular moisturiser or layered in the evening as a sleeping mask. This will be perfect for protecting your skin against the cold winter air.
