Believe it or not, in Finland, kids play outside for four hours a day, winter or not. That’s why Reima, a Scandinavian brand specializing in children’s products since 1944, creates clothes, shoes and accessories suitable for all weather conditions (here’s looking at you, sleet and snow) without compromising function (or style).
We recently received one of these incredible (and truly, they are incredible) coats to trial on our own toddler: the Reimatec winter jacket, Silda Eucalyptus green ($220). From the playful falling-snow-like reflective pattern to the detachable hood trimmed with a removable faux-fur trim (not to mention the fact that this baby is fully water- and wind-proof, breathable, dirt-repellent ands well-fitted thanks to its waist-tightening function and adjustable hems and cuffs), there’s nothing we don’t love about this jacket. Our babe’s fave detail? The fact that it’s easy to put on "by myself" and a "secret" inner pocket that she calls her "treasure chest."
Our top Reima element by far, though, has to be the fact that this easy-wear winter jacket can be tumble-dried, too. Hey, it’s the mom in us 😉 —Noa Nichol
