The most anticipated (in our books, anyway) sale of the year is coming up on July 15 and, if you a) want to know what to expect and b) wonder how Nordstrom is able to offer such amazing and exclusive savings on bestselling beauty products at its annual Anniversary Sale, we’ve got the inside scoop!
We were so fortunate to attend a Nordstrom Canada Anniversary Sale breakfast, to learn more from Autumne West, national beauty director. According to Autumne, Nordstrom’s buyers work directly with customer-favourite brands to create exclusive-to-the-sale sets at value prices (hot tip: every beauty product on sale at the event will sport a sticker stating its true price + sale price, so you’ll clearly see the savings!). These sets also include hard (if not impossible) to get items like jumbo sizes (look for Olaplex) and product duos—all the more reason to snap them up while the sale is on, July 15-31. As for lack of choice, that doesn’t apply here. You’ll find 250 brands/products in on this event, including discounts on things that never, ever go on sale (we’re looking at you, La Mer The Concentrate).
Other things to watch for: a couple of goodies (on sale, of course) from Westman Atelier clean makeup and daily surprise deals and exclusive gifts with purchase. Autumne’s top sale tip: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is THE time to stock up on fall/winter candles, even if cosying up in cold weather is the currently the furthest thing from your mind. —Noa Nichol
