The Basics Our Team Can’t Live Without: Vicki Duong

Vicki Duong, contributor, VITA: “As someone who tries a lot of products, when something is good enough for me to repurchase, that’s how I know it’s a must-have. While trying new launches is fun, there are just some holy grails I always need in my arsenal. As a gal-on-the-go, I live and die by my planner and being able to see my appointments and meetings clearly laid out has made me the most productive version of myself. Hemlock and Oak is a Vancouver-based stationery brand that makes my fave planners in an array of colours with ample room for all of your notes. Secondly, there is nothing that makes me feel more put together than elevated basic jewellery in gold. The Jenna Lyons Herringbone Chain from Mejuri has been on constant rotation since I got it and it’s extra long-length makes layering easy. Third, is my technical workout gear. As someone who likes to get sweaty, having the right outfit not only makes me feel confident in my chest press but keeps me supported. ON makes some of my go-to pieces, from their ultra-supportive Performance Bra to the Roger, a classic white tennis sneaker that looks cute on and off the court. Speaking of daily routines, my go-to bevvy as of late is Rise Kombucha. They have some of my favourite flavours, including the Low Sugar Raspberry and Vanilla which is reminiscent of a popsicle and when poured over ice with a few frozen berries it makes a great mocktail. Lastly, as of late I am all about a natural easy-going makeup look. Most days I opt for a tinted moisturizer and lip balm and my go-to has been the Smashbox Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer. Not only does it provide a light sheen of dewy coverage but the addition of hyaluronic acid and SPF 25 keeps your skin looking its best even when you’re not wearing it.”
