DIY Bath Bombs

Ingredients:

• 1 cup baking soda
• 1/2 cup citric acid
• 1/2 cup Epsom salt
• 1/2 cup cornstarch
• 2 1/2 tablespoons carrier oil (such as coconut oil or almond oil)
• 3/4 teaspoon water
• Essential oils (such as lavender, eucalyptus or citrus) for scent
• Food coloring (optional) for color
• Bath bomb molds (available online or at craft stores)

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and cornstarch. Mix well until fully combined.
2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the carrier oil, water, essential oils and food colouring (if using).
3. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking constantly to prevent the mixture from fizzing. The mixture should hold together when squeezed in your hand, but not be too wet.
4. Once the mixture is fully combined, press it into your bath bomb molds, packing it tightly.
5. Let the bath bombs dry and harden in the molds for at least 24 hours. You can also speed up the drying process by placing them in the freezer for a few hours.
6. Once the bath bombs are fully dry, carefully remove them from the molds.
7. Store the bath bombs in an airtight container until ready to use.
