The star turned heads with her bespoke gown with striking red and black accents. And, since no red carpet look is complete without the perfect nail, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachlik completed Selena’s bold look using essie’s core shade licorice. This is a rich colour that “with two coats gave that deep patent leather look” says Tom, “Sel’s natural nails were a great length. Because we were going with a dark colour we decided to go with a shorter nail in a natural shape keeping our look strong and chic.” To finish the look off, the essie gel top coat was added for that high gloss shine.
With a few rolls of essie on-a-roll apricot cuticle oil to ensure the celebrity worthy manicure was perfect before Selena made her red carpet walk. —Vita Daily
