As March saunters in with the promise of blooming flowers and longer days, I find myself intrigued by an array of beauty discoveries that excite me for what’s to come this spring. From revitalizing skincare to captivating makeup hues, March gave me a treasure trove of beauty essentials that breathed new life into my routine. —Vicki Duong

kid sister afterglow face mask. Introducing my secret weapon to healthy glowy skin, the Kid Sister Afterglow Face Mask ($63). Made in small batches in BC, this cruelty-free mask has become a new weekly staple for me as it exfoliates and repairs my skin. To slough away dead skin cells, fruit enzymes and lactic acid provide chemical exfoliation, while biodegradable jojoba oil beads offer physical exfoliation. Worry not; the jojoba oil beads are smooth and don’t tug or tear your skin!

marc jacobs fragrances daisy wild. One of my favourite things to update in the spring is my fragrance collection and Marc Jacobs never disappoints. Their newest addition, Daisy Wild ($120) combines notes of wild berries, jasmine and driftwood to create an intoxicating aroma that lingers softly on the skin. And let’s not forget the bottle design: a whimsical masterpiece that adds a touch of elegance to any vanity. Each bottle is a work of art, adorned with delicate floral accents and multiple floral “stems” that mirror the fragrance’s botanical inspiration. 

trinny london line2define liner. When redefining (pun intended) beauty, make-up artist Trinny London has always been a trailblazer. The newest addition to her eponymous brand is intensely pigmented liners ($40) that can be worn in many ways. The dual-ended pencil features a retracted eyeliner and pencil sharpener while the creamy formula promises easy application that dries to a smudge-free finish.

avène cicalfate+ restorative protective cream. Crafted with care by Avène, a trusted name in skincare, the Cicalfate+ Restorative cream ($26) is formulated to provide intense hydration and protection to even the most sensitive skin. It helps to calm irritation, reduce redness and promote skin regeneration. Whether I’m dealing with dry patches, minor cuts, or post-procedure skin, this cream is my saving grace–I’ve been using it post-wax to save my skin.

nars talc-free blush. Looking to refresh your makeup routine for spring? Look no further than the NARS blush ($46), now available in a new talc-free formula. This iconic blush isn’t just a makeup staple—it’s a game-changer. Known for its perfect flush, its new talc-free formula delivers vibrant colour payoff without chalkiness or cakiness. My favourite shade? Torrid, a warm coral with a touch of golden shimmer for a perfectly sunkissed look.

l’occitane shower oil with almond oil. As the weather gets warmer out, I find myself gravitating towards shorter sleeves and hems leaving a need for a more hydrating bodycare routine. Formulated with ingredients like green tea extract and hyaluronic acid, it not only primes your skin for flawless makeup application but also hydrates, protects and soothes.

vichy dercos technique anti-dandruff shampoo. This past month has been a journey to find the best way to maintain a healthy scalp, which is how I discovered the Vichy Dercos Technique anti-dandruff shampoo ($30). Formulated with potent active ingredients like selenium and salicylic acid, it effectively tackles flakes and itching without stripping your scalp of its natural oils. 

watier love my lips caring lip oil. Looking to pamper your lips without all the stick of glosses? New from Watier, the Love My Lips Caring lip oil ($28) provides the best benefits of a lip balm amped up with extra moisturizing oils such as jojoba, argan and avocado. Upon application your lips with have a soft tint of colour and with continuous use you’ll find that dry and cracked lips are a thing of the past!

charlotte tilbury magic hydration revival cleanser. When it comes to cleansing, a multi-tasking cleanser has been a lifesaver. Lately, my go-to has been the new Hydration Revival cleanser ($41) from Charlotte Tilbury, the newest addition to their Magic skincare line. Enriched with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, it not only removes impurities but also replenishes moisture, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and revitalized after each use. Plus, its luxurious texture and soothing scent turn my daily cleansing routine into a spa-like experience.
