This Fijian Resort Has Revealed An Absolutely Stunning Renovation

April 29, 2024

Our Fijian friends extend a celebratory ‘Bula’, as one of the destination’s top independently owned and operated resorts announces the completion of a major renovation. The result shows Fiji’s commitment to rejuvenating the senses and stirring the soul. Introducing the new-and-improved One-Island Resort, Yasawa Island Resort Fiji: a secluded getaway which reveals stunning new experiences of both its public space, exterior and interior accommodations.

The resort is a private paradise, as just a 30-minute air transfer from Madi International Airport leads to 18 spacious bungalows. Only a few steps from a pristine white-sand beach, each bungalow is hidden among luscious tropical greenery. Its renovations are complete with distinctive contemporary Fijian style: picture palm thatched roofs, plantation shutters, an expansive sun deck and personal hammock.

The innovative renovation additionally spotlights sustainability, keeping with the resort’s natural elements and commitment to the authentic local spirit. The design is enhanced by locally-produced materials, integrating cinnamon wood, Fijian Vesi hardwood and grass derived from the Island. The resort is also in the process of obtaining its EarthCheck certification: based on the brand’s ability to live up to their social corporate responsibility, these certifications are a badge of honour which shows tourism businesses care for the people and environment.

As an all-inclusive resort, its additional offerings complete the Fijian experience. Take in a 180 degree view of the ocean, serving fresh-caught dishes and signature cocktails from dawn until dusk. Or take in the view while enjoying a massage at the full-service Baravi Spa, where therapists perform services in tandem with the ocean waves. Other favourite experiences include swimming in the crystal waters of the famous Sawa-I-Lau Caves, snorkelling among vivid corals and tropical fish, or visiting Bukama Village and partaking in local experiences.
