Make a Wish in the English Garden Museum

The Grand Court will be transformed into a mesmerizing English garden museum, designed from an ant’s perspective—think giant flowers and woodland creatures, as well as fun facts about pollinators. There’s also a wishing tree, where you can hang your wishes written on a leaf tag. Metropolis at Metrotown will plant one tree for every wish. Dates: May 1 – June 1.

Pay Homage to Mother Figures and Mother Nature

Mother’s Day festivities at Metropolis at Metrotown are anchored by the “We Love Moms & Mother Nature” English garden party event, taking place in the Grand Court. The unforgettable afternoon features tasty food and refreshments, a build-your-own candy bar, an adopt-a-plant experience, a live DJ, an informative and interactive beehive experience, and more. Space is limited; tickets cost $40 per person, and include entry to the event as well as a gift bag with a $20 gift card to Metropolis at Metrotown. Bee Habitat

Metropolis at Metrotown is home to 18,000 bees, which live on the roof, in beehives installed by Alvéole—a business dedicated to shedding light on agricultural issues like pesticide use, monocultures, and the loss of biodiversity.

Chopstick Recycling

Working with ChopValue, Metropolis at Metrotown has recycled over 1.3 million chopsticks, offsetting the equivalent of 65,285 kilograms of carbon emissions (as of January 2024).

Organic Recycling

The shopping centre uses only recycled paper, and has installed organic recycling stations in the food court. Electric vehicles welcome. The P1 parkade has six EV charging stations.
