8 Gorgeous Vases To Display May Flowers

May 8, 2024

April showers certainly brought May flowers, but where should we put them all? In an elegant vase, of course! Nothing says spring like freshly cut floral arrangements in the kitchen, living room, on the dining room table, in the bathroom, or next to the bed displayed beautifully in a vase. These vessels can be artsy and bold, taking centre stage, or they can also be understated and simple, giving their blooms the stylish spotlight instead. Either way, here are 8 vases you’ll love to display your May flowers. —Jennifer Cox

Showcasing a soothing swirl of colour and boasting a smooth silhouette, this Elea vase from Anthropologie ($23) is the perfect piece for a range of bouquets. It is made with elegant soda lime glass and easily wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth.

The Signum vase from Swarovski ($155) comes in four gorgeous pastel colours for spring and was inspired by the Wiener Werkstätte art scene. The geometric pattern features Swarovski’s signature octagon in gold-tone on a vivid shade of pink. This mini vase is eight centimetres tall and part of a collaboration with porcelain brand Rosenthal.

Urban Outfitters’ ban.do Stacked Citrus Vase ($39) features a stacked citrus design and is perfect for holding not only flowers but even writing utensils and other essential tools. The ceramic construction and colorful finishes will add a tangy citrus cuteness to any space.

For a touch of colour there’s Bouclair’s Aqua Glass Loop Vase (33). It’s unique shape and curves will elevate your home decor with its chic and contemporary aesthetic. Fill it with your favourite flowers, and let its beauty inspire you day after day.

There’s nothing more classic and traditional than this fine crystal Waterford Giftology Lismore Bon Bon 6in Vase ($170). It’s available in six different eye-catching color schemes and has regal, opulent gold touches. It pairs perfectly with classic flowers like roses.

Pairing a bold pattern with colourful bouquets, the 14-inch Adra vase ($53, from Crate & Barrel) is made of a bright white glaze and has an eye-catching deeply etched chevron pattern. Its rustic hand-carved design and exposed clay lip and base make it super stylish no matter what your taste.

An economical choice for a vase is IKEA’s KONSTFULL ($7). Not only is the price right, but so is the trendy frosted finish, which is very “in” right now. It’s also eco-friendly in that it’s made from leftover mouth-blown glass. It comes in three other shapes and colours to suit all decors.

The rich colours of the Mari Glass Vase collection from West Elm (starting at $41) are so gorgeous you may want more than just one. They are created from soda lime glass and offer the best of today’s trends. They each offer a timeless, elegant look.
