So far, this year has been one full of viral beauty products. For a while it truly felt like there was something new trending every week. Sometimes the products were new launches and sometimes they were older products resurfacing, but every viral product did have one thing in common—social media influence.

The power of social media is so substantial and now has a huge hand in the making or breaking a product. Many of the trending products stemmed from social media videos of people using or trying them first hand and sharing their honest experiences.

Going viral after speculation that Drake used this mist in a get unready with me video he posted, this elixir is a natural face mist that can help prep the skin, tighten pores and set or refresh makeup resulting in dewy, glowing skin.

Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Waterproof Foundation ($71)

The name says it all, this foundation went viral for its flawless application and look. Providing medium-buildable coverage, it has a natural finish, a weightless feel and can be worn fade-proof for up to 12 hours.

One Size On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray ($43.50)

Already known to be a great setting spray, this recently went viral for setting lipstick on the lips making it transfer proof. A word of caution, it does not seem to work for all lip formulas and some say it is not a safe practice. 

Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain ($33)

A fun tint that went viral for its unique jelly texture that also garnered great results. It can be used on both the lip and cheek leaving a long-lasting stain that lasts all day.

There was quite the stir over this product with some creators obsessed with it, while others found it to be sticky on the lips. However, after a ton of back and forth, the verdict was in, the product is great, but a little goes a long way, so as long as it is applied accordingly, you can’t go wrong with this affordable plumping pen.
