Get The Look: Regencycore Is The Latest Fashion Trend To Try

July 2, 2024

As we all know by now, Netflix’s Bridgerton has seemingly influenced the current fashion movement- Regencycore. What does Regencycore encompass, exactly? It seemingly takes predominant inspiration from romantic yet elegant styles witnessed during the Regency Era extending to the Gilded Age, in which this trend offers a wistful reimagination of fashion from the 1800s, but with a modern twist.

Today, Regencycore takes center stage in apparel and accessories that are reconceived through various silhouettes, textures, patterns, and styles that evoke a sense of classic opulence. Think, Empire waists, demask designs, voluminous sleeves, pearl embellishments, bows, lace, ruffles, and shapely corsets- among other key features of the popular “old money aesthetic” trend. —Samantha Vecchiarelli

This stylish playsuit from Babyboo Fashion is the epitome of modern-day Regencycore. It features a cinched waist- which is reminiscent of ultra-feminine silhouettes seen during the Gilded Age- and comes adorned in a beautifully ornate floral pattern that is available in both blue and blush jacquard fabric. The paneled flared skirt and lace-up back also give the look a romantic touch.

This House of CB corset top features key details that make it very Regencycore-esque. For instance, the corseted bodice paired with the delicate bow detailing on the straps offers an elegant yet contemporary take on the budding fashion trend.

Call it Spring Poise Heels

These shoes from Call it Spring would be “Bridgerton-approved” because they incorporate key fashion elements that are reminiscent of the 1800s Regency-Era period. This is because women back then typically opted for low-heel pumps and styles that were simple in design. These block heels feature a classic, refined silhouette and are tastefully decorated with a simple bow at the front. Designed to instantly elevate any look.

ALDO Kailyn Bag

Gladstone Bags were a popular accessory of choice for men and women during the Gilded Age but were typically larger in size and used for travel. One might assume that this bag from ALDO seems to offer a more modern take on the vintage structure of Gladstone Bags used during the Gilded Age. This is because it features similar top handle detailing that has been updated to a more wearable Regencycore-inspired design with pastel artwork. It’s giving… Gilded Glamour.
