Free radical damage is a major contributor to skin aging. Another key ingredient category for mature skin is lipids. As we age, the lipids in our skin known as ceramides begin to deplete. The loss of these lipids not only causes water to evaporate from our skin more quickly, leaving it dry, but also causes our skin to be less resilient, causing it to look crepey.
