Start the New Year by giving back and upgrading your shopping experience! Metropolis at Metrotown’s beloved Trade It Up event, in support of Burnaby Neighbourhood House, returns this January—and it’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
What’s Trade It Up All About?
On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers are invited to trade in unwanted gift cards for a MET gift card of equal value. This isn’t just about refreshing your wallet—Metropolis at Metrotown is making a difference by donating $35,000 in traded gift cards to Burnaby Neighbourhood House, a charity dedicated to building a vibrant and supportive community in Burnaby.
Where to Find It
The event takes place at Guest Services, located on the Ground Level near Walmart.
Important Guidelines for Trading:
- You can trade up to 4 verified gift cards per participant.
- Each gift card must have a value of $25 or more.
- The maximum trade-in value per participant is $250.
- Only physical gift cards are accepted (no paper certificates or printouts).
- Gift cards must be verifiable by phone or online.
- Cards requiring account registration (e.g., DoorDash, PlayStation) are not accepted.
