What inspired you to bring UROSPOT to Vancouver, and what gap does it fill in the city’s wellness scene?
I brought UROSPOT to Vancouver because I saw a critical need for real solutions in pelvic health. Bladder leaks and urgency affect so many women and men, yet the available options are often limited, and the conversation around pelvic health remains far too quiet—even in a city with such a strong wellness scene.
When I discovered UROSPOT’s technology, I knew it was something special. But what really stood out was the mission: treating pelvic health with dignity, care, and expertise. Too many people accept incontinence as just part of life, often suffering in silence. I wanted to change that by bringing this solution to my community and helping people regain their confidence.
Can you explain how EMSELLA and High-Intensity Electromagnetic Energy (HIFEM) work to strengthen the pelvic floor?
At UROSPOT, we use state-of-the-art electromagnetic energy to stimulate and strengthen the pelvic floor muscles in a way that traditional exercises cannot. While seated comfortably and fully clothed, this technology delivers targeted energy to engage deep pelvic muscles, inducing thousands of supramaximal contractions in a single session. These contractions help restore muscle tone, improve neuromuscular control, and support the pelvic organs more effectively.
What truly sets UROSPOT apart is our whole-person approach. We combine this cutting-edge treatment with expert-led education, personalized health coaching, and tailored care plans to ensure lasting pelvic health improvements. The process is completely non-invasive, painless, and requires no downtime, making it an efficient and empowering solution for bladder leakage and other pelvic floor concerns.
Pelvic health is often overlooked or considered taboo—why do you think that is, and how can we shift the conversation?
Pelvic health is often overlooked or considered taboo due to a combination of medical dismissal and societal stigma. People are frequently told that bladder leaks, urgency, and other pelvic floor issues are simply a “part of life.” They’re handed a pack of pads or advised to try exercises that they often struggle to maintain. For women in particular, these issues are framed as an inevitable consequence of motherhood or aging, which is simply not true.
Unfortunately, the solutions traditionally offered can be invasive, ineffective, or unappealing, leaving many to silently endure their symptoms. At UROSPOT, we are committed to shifting the conversation by combining science, technology, and education to provide a path to lasting change. Our mission is to treat pelvic health with dignity, warmth, and expertise, making it clear that leaks, urgency, and frequency are not things people have to accept. The solutions we offer give people the opportunity to regain control, confidence, and quality of life, breaking the cycle of silence and stigma once and for all.
Who can benefit from UROSPOT treatments? Are there any misconceptions about pelvic floor therapy that you’d like to debunk?
One major myth about pelvic floor therapy is that it’s exclusively for women, particularly postpartum mothers or seniors. In reality, pelvic health affects everyone.
While the majority of our clients are perimenopausal or menopausal women and new mothers, we also welcome men who face similar challenges. We provide care for those experiencing sexual dysfunction, such as erectile dysfunction or low libido, offering effective solutions to help restore confidence and intimacy.
Many women struggle with incontinence postpartum, but it’s rarely discussed openly. How can UROSPOT help, and what would you say to new moms hesitant to seek treatment?
It is heartbreaking how many people struggle with these challenges in silence. While experiencing incontinence postpartum is very common, it’s a sign that your pelvic floor needs care. Give us a call and we can discuss if you are a fit for treatment as most women begin noticing results within just a few sessions.
To any new mom who’s hesitant, I would say, “You’ve been through so much already. You deserve to feel strong, confident, and in control again. There’s no shame in seeking help, in fact, it’s one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself. UROSPOT is a judgment-free space run by women, for women. We’re here to support you, cheer you on, and help you get back to feeling like yourself again.”
What are the biggest signs that someone might need pelvic floor therapy, and how can early intervention improve long-term health?
Pelvic floor therapy can transform lives for those dealing with uncomfortable or limiting symptoms, but recognizing the signs and addressing them early is key. If you’ve been experiencing bladder leaks, constantly needing to use the bathroom, have trouble fully emptying your bladder or bowels, pelvic pain, discomfort during intimacy, or even a heavy sensation in the pelvic area, these could be indicators of pelvic floor dysfunction. These issues can stem from various life experiences, such as childbirth, aging, surgery, or even ongoing physical strain. While these symptoms can often feel isolating or overwhelming, the truth is they’re more common than you may think—and there’s help available.
Early intervention with pelvic floor therapy not only prevents symptoms from worsening but can also protect against long-term conditions like prolapse or incontinence. Beyond that, it’s a step toward regaining confidence, improving daily function, and maintaining the active life you deserve. Seeking therapy is a powerful way to reclaim your body, rebuild your strength, and move forward with comfort and freedom.
Can you share any success stories or testimonials from people who have experienced life-changing results with UROSPOT?
We are absolutely over the moon with the incredible feedback we’ve received from our clients! Hearing how life-changing this experience has been for so many people is what drives us every day. Visit www.urospot.com/testimonials to read real stories from people who have regained their confidence, freedom, and quality of life.
For those concerned about cost, how does health benefit coverage work for UROSPOT treatments?
Many extended health benefits plans provide partial coverage for UROSPOT’s care plan, making treatment more accessible. Beyond insurance, it’s important to consider the long-term financial impact of bladder leakage. On average, individuals spend between $900 and $2,000 per year on pads and adult diapers—an expense that can add up to $50,000 over 25 years. Not only is this a significant financial burden, but these products also contribute to landfill waste, where a single pad can take up to 800 years to decompose. Investing in pelvic health with UROSPOT offers a lasting solution, helping you regain confidence and reduce ongoing costs.
Beyond physical benefits, how do you see improving pelvic health affecting people’s overall confidence and quality of life?
The most rewarding part of our work is seeing clients leave our clinic with their freedom and confidence fully restored. Watching someone transform from thinking, “I just have to live with this” to proudly saying, “I got my life back,” is an experience that never gets old. However, it’s disheartening to hear from people who have sought help from the wrong provider and didn’t get the lasting results they deserve.
Unfortunately, not all pelvic health treatments are created equal, and too many people spend time and money on options that fail to deliver real change.
Every UROSPOT location celebrates the journeys of our clients with a symbolic “Freedom Wall,” where individuals who have completed their treatment share their personal stories. This wall serves as a powerful reminder that no one is alone in their struggles, and it inspires hope and reassurance for those beginning their own path to freedom.
What’s your vision for UROSPOT in the future? Do you plan to expand further or introduce new innovations in pelvic health?
We are excited to announce that we will be opening a new location in South Granville on April 11, 2025, followed by a second location opening in early autumn at #213-131 East 13th Street in North Vancouver.
