Here’s a festive and refreshing Red, White & Green Layered Matcha Drink recipe—perfect for holidays, picnics, or just a fun afternoon pick-me-up! This vibrant drink not only looks great on the ‘gram, but it’s also naturally sweetened and loaded with antioxidants.

Red, White & Green Layered Matcha Drink

Ingredients:

Red Layer:

  • ½ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup water

White Layer:

  • ½ cup milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, etc.)
  • Ice cubes

Green Layer:

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • ¼ cup hot water (not boiling)
  • ¼ cup milk of choice (optional for a creamier layer)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Red Layer:
    • In a blender, purée the strawberries with honey and water until smooth.
    • Pour into a tall glass and add ice cubes to slow the mixing of layers.
  2. Add the White Layer:
    • Slowly pour the milk over the back of a spoon to layer it gently on top of the red layer. This helps keep the colors distinct.
  3. Make the Green Matcha Layer:
    • In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy. Add a splash of milk if you’d like a creamier finish.
    • Carefully pour the matcha mixture over the back of a spoon to layer on top of the milk.
  4. Serve Immediately:
    • Garnish with a strawberry slice or a sprig of mint if desired. Stir before sipping—or enjoy the layered look a little longer!
