Vicki’s June Beauty Faves

June 23, 2025

Spring has me in full refresh mode—and that includes my beauty routine. This month, I’ve been reaching for products that feel light, bright, and actually deliver. From hydrating heroes to formulas that make me feel like I’ve got my life together (even when I don’t), these are the beauty faves I kept coming back to in June. —Vicki Duong

bioderma. My skin tends to flare up with redness whenever the weather warms up, so I’m always on the hunt for something that actually helps calm things down. I recently tried the new Bioderma Sensibio AR+ Bi-Serum ($46.99), and I have to say I noticed a difference. It’s lightweight yet deeply soothing, and the biphasic formula feels gentle while helping to reduce the tight, hot feeling I often experience. I like that it targets both redness and early signs of aging, which makes it feel like a smart, multitasking addition to my routine without being too fussy.

fable & mane. I used to think hair oiling was just one of those extra steps I didn’t have time for, but this pre-wash treatment ($52) completely changed my mind. It’s lightweight yet nourishing, and after a few uses, my hair felt stronger, smoother and noticeably less prone to breakage. I’ve started using it as a weekly ritual (massaging it into my scalp before washing), and it’s helped bring some much-needed moisture and strength back to my ends. Oiling might feel old school, but this formula proves it’s worth the effort.

henry rose. I love switching up my scents with the seasons, and lately, Henry Rose’s Queens + Monsters ($165) has been my go-to. It’s a floral vanilla with just the right amount of warmth, neroli and freesia keep it bright while sandalwood adds a creamy, woody depth that feels perfect for this in-between weather. It’s rich without being heavy, and I love that the bottle is as thoughtful as the formula, made with recycled glass and compostable materials. A new favourite in my fragrance rotation.

hello joyous. This alcohol-free toner ($37.99) has been a lovely little upgrade to my routine, especially post-workout when my skin’s feeling flushed and thirsty. Made by a Canadian brand Hello Joyous, it’s packed with plant-based goodness and gives my skin a dewy boost without any stickiness. I’ve been misting it on after cleansing or mixing it with serum for an extra hit of hydration, and it always leaves my skin feeling calm, cool and refreshed.

ädesē. I’m a sucker for sleek design, and this Canadian-made serum-moisturiser hybrid looks as good on my shelf as it feels on my skin. Äscēnd ($128) delivers deep hydration in a silky, oil-to-gel texture that absorbs quickly and leaves my face feeling smooth, plump, and glowy. It’s refillable, too, which makes it an even smarter addition to my routine.

l’occitane. My favourite shower oil just got a glow-up—literally. L’Occitane’s new Almond Shimmering Body Oil ($73) takes everything I already loved about the OG (that rich almond scent, the silky hydration) and adds a subtle golden shimmer that makes my skin look sun-kissed and radiant. It absorbs quickly, isn’t greasy, and leaves me smelling like a warm almond croissant in the best way. A luxe little upgrade I didn’t know I needed.

charlotte tilbury. I’m a firm believer that the right blush can make you look instantly more alive, and Charlotte Tilbury’s Unreal Blush Stick ($57) delivers that lit-from-within glow with zero effort. My personal fave is Cherry Glow, the perfect sunkissed flush that makes it look like I’ve just come back from a beach day, even when I’ve barely left my desk. It’s hydrating, blends like a dream, and the luminous finish gives cheeks and lips that glazed, dewy tint I can’t get enough of.

roc skincare. This eye balm has been all over TikTok, and after trying it myself, I get the hype. The RoC Revive + Glow Eye Balm ($26.99) glides on smoothly with a cooling, touchless applicator that feels refreshing in the morning. I’ve been using it daily and have noticed my under-eye area looking brighter and a little less puffy, especially helpful after late nights or early calls. It’s easy to toss in a bag for on-the-go touch-ups and gives a nice little glow without any shimmer.

l’oreal paris. I’ve tried my fair share of high-end lip plumpers, but this drugstore gem from L’Oréal Paris seriously holds its own. The Plump Ambition Lip Oil ($15.96) gives my lips an instant boost with a soft tingle that feels more refreshing than intense, and the hydration lasts all day. It glides on smooth, adds a glossy finish without any stickiness, and makes my lips look fuller and healthier over time. Honestly, it feels just as luxe as some of the pricier options I’ve used.

vintage noon. The name Vacation Skin ($65) couldn’t be more fitting; this overnight mask is exactly what my skin needs after a sunny getaway. It’s soothing, deeply hydrating, and helps calm the redness and dryness I always seem to bring back with me. The texture is silky but not greasy, and I love that it doubles as a daily moisturizer when my skin’s feeling extra sensitive. Made in Canada and fragrance-free, it’s become a go-to for restoring my barrier and getting that healthy, rested glow back.
