Wingin’ it just got a little more wine-worthy.
Beloved for its vibrant take on modern Vietnamese street food, DD Mau Chinatown is shaking (and pouring) things up with the launch of a brand-new all-British Columbia wine program. That’s right—your favourite bánh mì, vermicelli bowl, or crispy chicken wing now has a new BFF: a perfectly paired glass of BC vino.
The tight-but-mighty wine list features a curated lineup of standout bottles from the province’s top producers, each selected to complement DD Mau’s bold, flavour-packed dishes. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just wine-curious, the pairings strike a perfect harmony between BC terroir and Vietnamese spice, freshness, and umami.
Here’s what’s on pour:
- Bella Wines ‘23 King Chardonnay (Sparkling): Bubbly and bright, perfect with seafood and summer vibes.
- Synchromesh Wines Long’s View Dry Riesling: Crisp, aromatic, and an ideal dance partner for Bún Chả or any vermicelli bowl.
- Scout Vineyard Rosé: Fruity, dry, and practically made to go with those DD Mau signature Chicken Wings.
- Lock & Worth ‘22 Merlot: A chillable red that’s juicy, light, and made for grilled meats and smoky flavours.
To celebrate, Wednesdays are now a whole vibe at DD Mau: $8 wines by the glass, all day long, and $2 off those famously crispy, saucy Chicken Wings. Consider your midweek plans made.
This new wine program is more than just a list—it’s a celebration of local producers and bold, cross-cultural flavour. As always, DD Mau continues to surprise, delight, and make Chinatown a destination for seriously good food (and now, seriously good wine).
Ready to sip and savour? We’ll meet you there on a Wednesday. Cheers! —Noa Nichol
