With the launch of its first-ever Men’s Trend Report, Pinterest reveals how over 200 million male users are using the platform to build everything from biceps to baby books. From self-care to finance, from nail art to fatherhood, today’s modern man is as multifaceted as his Pinterest board. We spoke with Mike Del Moro, Pinterest’s Senior Manager of Media and Creator Relations, to unpack what this cultural shift means—and how the “Pinterest Man” is changing the game.

“Gen Z and Millennial men are unlearning the idea that masculinity must be stoic or emotionless,” says Del Moro. “On Pinterest, we’re seeing them embrace self-expression, emotional vulnerability, and wellness—with searches for skincare, pilates, and parenting moments all trending.”

In fact, men now make up more than one-third of Pinterest’s global audience—approximately 205 million monthly users. With this explosive growth comes a cultural reckoning: men are no longer confining themselves to rigid stereotypes. Instead, they’re curating mood boards that reflect their real lives and aspirational selves, embracing both sensitivity and swagger.

Fatherhood, Redefined

The platform is seeing skyrocketing searches for terms like “milestone pictures” (+415%) and “smart parenting” (+125%). According to Del Moro, “Younger dads are embracing a more engaged, emotionally intelligent version of fatherhood. They’re showing up with intention—and celebrating that process creatively.”

Beauty, Brawn & Everything In Between

The idea that self-care is a “female thing”? Outdated. Pinterest users are pinning everything from dry skin care routines (+45%) to male nail art designs (+115%). “Today’s man has a wide range of interests and doesn’t have to choose just one,” Del Moro notes. “Pinterest makes room for all of it.”

Chrome, Climbing & Cutting-Edge Tech

Beyond wellness, Pinterest’s male users are also flexing their muscles in futuristic arenas—quite literally. Searches for rock climbing aesthetics are up 95%, and the sleek ‘chrome aesthetic’ is trending among Millennial men with a love of modern interiors. On the tech side? “3D printer designs” are up 1,210% and “AI video” is up 800%.

Why Pinterest Feels Like a Safe Space

Unlike other social media platforms that thrive on comments and like counts, Pinterest is built differently. “There’s no public comment section, no performative pressure. That makes it a much safer space to explore things like breathwork, skincare, or style experimentation without fear of judgment,” explains Del Moro.

To celebrate this wave of creative masculinity, Pinterest has launched the Pinterest Man profile—a curated hub reflecting what men are already pinning. “Every trend featured comes straight from first-party data. It’s not about telling men who to be—it’s about highlighting who they already are,” says Del Moro.
