Vancouver Firefighter Charities is back with its annual Umbrella Day fundraiser on Friday, November 7—selling cozy, VFC-branded umbrellas for $30 and collecting donations across the city from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The best part: every purchase supports VFC’s community programs—Snacks For Kids, Toys For Kids and Sports For Kids—programs that literally brighten rainy days for local families.
Find the firefighters (and the umbrellas) at five major transit hubs: Waterfront Station, City Centre Station, Burrard Street Station, Yaletown–Roundhouse and City Hall Station. Last year’s Umbrella Day raised more than $10,000, and this year marks the eighth edition of the drive—proof that a little shelter goes a long way.
