Built To Rock: Wuxly x Bryan Adams Returns For Round Three

November 5, 2025

Contests, Fashion & Shopping

Wuxly and Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams are back with the BAD Collection—six limited-edition pieces that fuse tactical performance, plant-based leathers, and unapologetic rock-and-roll style. In this Q&A, founder James Yurichuk pulls back the curtain on the creative collaboration, the sustainability choices behind BANBÜ and Sorona, and how a jacket can feel like both armour and anthem. —Noa Nichol

How did the creative partnership with Bryan Adams start—what was the spark, and how did his rock-and-roll sensibility translate into concrete design decisions for this BAD collection?

The collaboration was born from shared values and a mutual respect for Canadian design. Bryan’s rock-and-roll sensibility influenced the collection’s structure and detailing — strong, streamlined silhouettes, matte finishes, and refined hardware that communicate attitude through precision. Each design balances creative expression with wearability, echoing the duality of performance and everyday function.

The collection blends next-gen materials like BANBÜ™ plant-based leather and bio-based Sorona® with tactical detailing—how do you balance fashion-forward aesthetics with real-world performance?

Our process begins with material innovation and builds outward. BANBÜ™ plant-based leather provides durability and structure while remaining lightweight and solvent-free. Sorona®, a bio-based insulation made from renewable plant fibers, delivers warmth and breathability with a reduced environmental impact. Tactical components — including water-resistant shells, articulated seams, and internal carry straps — ensure adaptability across climates and settings. The result is outerwear engineered for movement, performance, and long-term wear, all without compromising aesthetic integrity.

Each piece feels built for layering and travel—how do you recommend styling the BAD collection for city life versus airport or tour-life energy?

The BAD Collection was engineered for mobility and adaptability. For travel, pair the BAD Hoodie with joggers or denim and layer beneath the Vancouver Jacket for temperature regulation and ease through airports or tour days. Each outerwear piece includes thoughtful features such as backpack straps and hidden pockets for streamlined functionality on the go. In the city, elevate the look with the Corduroy Shirt or Next-Gen Leather Jacket to introduce texture and structure, or the Elk Parka when conditions demand protection without bulk. Clean lines, neutral tones, and modular construction ensure effortless transitions between environments.

Wuxly is proudly Canadian and B-Corp certified—how does manufacturing in Canada and your sustainability standards influence the look, price and longevity of these limited pieces?

Producing in Canada enables tight control over quality and craftsmanship while maintaining transparent, ethical manufacturing standards. Each piece is made in limited runs to reduce waste and emphasize longevity. As a certified B-Corp, we integrate sustainable practices into every stage — from the sourcing of recycled linings to the use of biodegradable insulation. These standards shape the look and feel of the collection: elevated, utilitarian, and built to last. The resulting value reflects not only superior quality but the integrity of responsible production.

For customers investing in the BAD Next-Gen Leather Jacket and other signature pieces, what care tips and styling advice do you offer to keep them looking timeless (and rock-ready) for years?

To preserve performance and finish, wipe plant-based leather clean with a damp cloth and avoid prolonged heat exposure. Outerwear with technical shells benefits from periodic reapplication of water-repellent treatments to maintain weather resistance. Hang pieces on structured hangers to protect form and store in breathable spaces. Over time, the materials naturally soften and adapt to the wearer — developing the lived-in character that defines the BAD aesthetic: functional, refined, and built for the long haul.

Collaborations between fashion and music often emphasize durability alongside expression. Outerwear discussions usually consider materials, ethics, and long-term wear. Shopping threads frequently expand toward service-related questions. Observations connected to https://www.pissedconsumer.com/company/altura/customer-service.html fit naturally into that evaluation, focusing on clarity. Thoughtful purchasing tends to reflect both style preferences and practical considerations.
