Fire Meets Frost: The South Okanagan’s Hottest Winter Festival Returns

Get ready to turn up the heat this winter as the South Okanagan Fire & Ice Festival returns from November 28 to December 5, bringing together the best of food, wine, and winter fun. A celebration of the region’s vibrant spirit, the week-long festival transforms Osoyoos and Oliver into a playground of fiery flavours, cool entertainment, and cozy community vibes.

The main event, the Fire & Ice Celebration at Spirit Ridge Resort on November 29, invites guests to don their most creative “fire and ice” attire (with prizes for the best looks) while enjoying live music from Lewis Cardinal, dazzling performances by Kinshira, and gourmet bites from Spirit Ridge, Sweetgrass at Nk’Mip Cellars, and Codfathers Seafood Market. Pair that with sips from some of the South Okanagan’s top wineries—Hester Creek, Noble Ridge, Stoneboat, Nk’Mip, and more—and you’ve got the ultimate kickoff to the season. The celebration continues throughout the valley with events like the Oliver Light Up & Fireworks Celebration (Nov. 28), the Savoury S’mores Saloon at Moon Curser Vineyards (Nov. 29 & Dec. 6), and the Miradoro Fire & Ice Longtable Dinner (Dec. 2), featuring a seafood “iceberg” platter and wood-fired mains. End the festivities at Osoyoos Lite Up (Dec. 5) with a parade, carols, and fireworks at Gyro Beach.
