It’s officially the comeback we didn’t know we needed: Glad, Canada’s leading trash bag brand, is teaming up with Sesame Street’s most iconic grouch to revive one of the most beloved ad campaigns of the ’80s. Yes—Oscar is back, and he’s trashier (and more charming) than ever.

Glad has unveiled a reimagined version of its classic “Don’t Get Mad. Get Glad.” commercial, complete with a fresh remix of Oscar’s unforgettable anthem, “I Love Trash.”

The new spot imagines a world where everyone embraces their inner grouch—at least when it comes to trash—with Glad products stepping in to save the day from rips, leaks, and funky smells. It’s nostalgic, it’s clever, and it’s designed to make every generation smile, whether you grew up watching Oscar on Sesame Street or you’re meeting him for the first time through this new campaign.
