Dry January just got a luxe upgrade. This month, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is rolling out Mindful January, a brand-new, alcohol-free cocktail program launching across Fairmont properties in North America. The idea? Keep the ritual, the flavour, and the social buzz—minus the booze.
For the first time ever, the hotel group is debuting a unified, wellness-forward cocktail initiative, tapping into the growing appetite for mindful travel and non-alcoholic options. Throughout January, guests can sip from a curated menu of spirit-free cocktails—each thoughtfully crafted to be just as complex and satisfying as the real thing.
Canadian Fairmont properties are partnering with Seedlip to create vibrant, layered drinks that lean into botanicals, citrus, herbs, and even coffee. Standouts include The Blush Grove (blood orange and tea), Awakened Night (cold brew meets spice), and On the Green, a garden-fresh blend with elderflower, tarragon, and yuzu soda.
The best part? Each hotel is also putting its own local spin on the trend. From a cherry-blossom-infused sip at Fairmont Pacific Rim to a garden-inspired Caesar in Jasper and a yuzu-forward creation at Hotel Vancouver, these zero-proof pours are rooted in place—and seriously stylish.
Bottom line: Mindful January proves that going alcohol-free doesn’t mean dialing things back. At Fairmont, it means drinking beautifully, intentionally, and very well. —Noa Nichol
