Cozy season calls for a little extra indulgence—and Vancouver’s beloved Hot Chocolate Festival is back and bigger than ever. Celebrating its 16th season, this citywide favourite returns January 17 to February 14, 2026, serving up an irresistible lineup of creative, comforting, and downright dreamy hot chocolates from more local cafés and chocolate artisans than ever before. From classic sips to boundary-pushing blends, consider this your excuse to bundle up and drink your way through winter—one mug at a time. —Noa Nichol
Sweet 7 (Richmond & Robson Street)
Making its Hot Chocolate Festival debut, Sweet 7 is serving up two wildly creative sips that blend comfort with unexpected flavour. From January 17–31, the Toasty Caramel Oolong Hot Chocolate combines rich cocoa with fragrant roasted Da Hong Pao oolong tea and caramel cookie butter, finished with a burnt marshmallow and a premium chocolate caramel cookie from La Lula Pastries. From February 1–14, the Cheesy UBE Boba Hot Chocolate steals the spotlight—a purple-hued dream of hot chocolate, chewy brown sugar pearls, and Sweet 7’s signature ube cheese foam, paired with a decadent ube butter cookie. Dine-in only at both locations.
Mon Paris (Burnaby & Olympic Village)

Mon Paris is bringing global flavour and hometown pride to this year’s Hot Chocolate Festival with two standout creations. Dubai Chocolate Our Way features rich 64% dark chocolate infused with pure pistachio paste, served alongside an indulgent Dubai-inspired truffle layered with kataifi shredded dough and 100% pistachio paste. For a cozy Canadian classic, Proudly Canadian delivers creamy milk hot chocolate sweetened with maple syrup, topped with a delicate maple leaf tuile and paired with a house-made Nanaimo bar—comforting, nostalgic, and unmistakably local.
Flying Whale Waterfront Café
As part of the Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2026, Flying Whale Waterfront Café at Flyover is offering two limited-time hot chocolate creations, including one available right through Valentine’s Day: From January 31 to Saturday, February 14, guests can enjoy the Icelandic Molten Mocha, a tiramisu-flavoured white hot chocolate topped with a whipped-cream “volcano” and espresso drizzle, served with a mini ladyfinger cookie drizzled in espresso sauce. Couples can experience one of Flyover’s signature immersive journeys and then unwind with a festival-exclusive hot chocolate overlooking the waterfront, making it an easy, elevated Valentine’s Day date idea in the city.
