Mount Pleasant’s favorite family-run Vietnamese destination, Anh and Chi, is officially hitting double digits. To mark its 10th anniversary, the award-winning restaurant is hosting a one-night-only Bocuse d’Or Team Canada Fundraiser Dinner on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
This isn’t just a party; it’s a powerhouse collaboration. The evening unites two generations of local culinary royalty, featuring chefs Ly Nguyen and Vincent Nguyen alongside Keith Pears (Team Canada Bocuse d’Or leader) and his mother, Lynda Larouche of Vancouver’s iconic Argo Cafe.
The Menu: 10 Dishes for 10 Years
The multi-course tasting menu is a love letter to B.C. seafood and Vietnamese flavors. Guests can expect elevated bites including:
- Canapés: Geoduck Betel Leaf and Mini Rogue foie gras bánh mì.
- The Main Event: Cured King Salmon with passionfruit gel, Dungeness “Cà Ri Cua” Fried Rice, and Caramelized Sablefish Kho Tộ wrapped in banana leaf.
- The Sweet Finish: A special dessert titled “Chef Ly & Chef Lynda’s ‘love letter’”.
Dining for a Cause
Tickets are $175++ per person, with every cent of the proceeds going toward Bocuse d’Or Team Canada. The funds will support the team’s training and travel as they head to the “Olympics of Gastronomy” in Lyon, France, in 2027.
The event also falls on International Women’s Day, a fitting tribute to the matriarchs—Chefs Ly and Lynda—who paved the way for the next generation. “This milestone isn’t just about celebrating a decade of Anh and Chi, but it’s also about looking forward,” says co-founder Amélie Nguyen. —Noa Nichol
