If you’ve noticed your feed filling up with goggles and glowing sunshine, you aren’t alone—Google searches for “bluebird days” have skyrocketed by 191% recently. These near-perfect mountain days, defined by crisp blue skies and stellar visibility, are the ultimate prize for spring skiers.
To help travelers find that perfect late-season glow, the experts at Inghams Ski analyzed over 120 resorts worldwide based on sunshine hours, elevation, and historical snowfall. While Italy’s Cervinia took the global crown, Canada made a major showing with two iconic resorts cracking the top ten:
- Lake Louise, Alberta (9th Place): This Rockies gem scored a 60.41/100, making it one of the most reliable spots on the planet for sunshine-soaked spring runs.
- Sun Peaks, British Columbia (10th Place): With a score of 60.31/100, Sun Peaks is celebrated for its famous “powder snow” and relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
While European heavyweights like Switzerland’s St. Moritz and Zermatt dominated the top three, our homegrown slopes remain some of the best in the world for catching those coveted rays before the season ends. As longer daylight hours and quieter pistes take over, now is the time to trade the winter gloom for some high-altitude Vitamin D. —Noa Nichol
