Paris Fashion Week has always been where fashion’s most creative ideas come to life, but the runways this season felt especially wearable. Instead of purely conceptual looks, designers delivered trends that fashion people can realistically incorporate into their wardrobes – often with a single statement piece.
From equestrian elegance to sculptural tailoring and saturated colour, these are the 10 trends we saw dominating Paris Fashion Week – and the pieces we’ll be buying to recreate them now. —Alexandra Aulicino
1. Equestrian Style
Equestrian influences galloped across the runways this season, most notably at Stella McCartney, where sleek tailoring was paired with riding boots and structured outerwear. The aesthetic feels polished and quietly luxurious – an extension of fashion’s continued fascination with heritage dressing.
The easiest way to tap into the look? A pair of classic riding boots. We’re recreating the trend with Hermès equestrian boots, a timeless investment that instantly elevates everything from slim trousers to wool skirts.
2. The Return of the Peplum
After years of minimalist silhouettes, the peplum is making a surprisingly chic return. At Alaïa, the shape was reimagined with architectural precision – less corporate officewear, more sculptural fashion.
To bring the trend into everyday dressing, we’re opting for the Helsa Maude Knit Top, a modern interpretation that feels polished without being overly dramatic.
3. Lace Everything
Romantic lace dominated the runway at Saint Laurent, where sheer layers and delicate textures created looks that felt both sensual and sophisticated.
To replicate the mood, we’re choosing the Alchemy Lace Midi Dress, an elegant piece that captures the same romantic energy seen on the runway.
4. Corset-Inspired Lace-Up Boots
At Marni, footwear leaned dramatic, with corset-style lacing climbing up the leg. The effect felt bold but still surprisingly wearable when paired with tailored separates.
Our pick: the Scarlett 95 leather boots by Jimmy Choo, a sleek take on the lace-up silhouette.
5. Deep Purple
While past seasons leaned toward neutrals, Loewe introduced a striking shade of deep, saturated purple that felt fresh and unexpectedly luxurious.
To bring the colour into your wardrobe, we’re buying the Juniper Sweater in Brushed Violet by Lisa Yang – a cosy knit that delivers maximum impact.
6. Flight Jackets
The bomber jacket took flight again this season at Balmain. The collection was inspired by aviation history, particularly one of Pierre Balmain’s clients, Air France’s first female pilot.
To copy the trend, we’re opting for the Nour Hammour Briar Cropped Bomber Jacket, a modern take on the aviation staple.
7. Strong Silhouettes
Power dressing returned with dramatic intensity at Mugler. Think sharp shoulders, sculpted waists, and tailoring that commands attention.
The easiest way to embrace the trend is with the Arakii Sculpted Blazer Dress, a piece that captures Mugler’s architectural energy.
8. Check Prints
Checks were everywhere at Rabanne, appearing in everything from tartan coats to gingham skirts. The pattern brings a touch of heritage styling while still feeling modern.
Our pick: the Draped Checked Midi Skirt by COS, which pairs perfectly with simple knitwear or a crisp shirt.
9. Electric Blue
At Chloé, a vivid electric blue appeared across fluid silhouettes, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional neutrals.
To recreate the colour story, we’re choosing the Second Skin Turtleneck by Coperni, an effortlessly chic layering piece.
10. The Wrap Blazer
Tailoring continues to evolve, and this season’s most interesting update came at Dries Van Noten, where the classic blazer was reimagined with wrap silhouettes and asymmetrical closures.
We’re copying the trend with the Antwerp Wrap Blazer by The Frankie Shop, a directional piece that feels both modern and timeless.
