Summer nights in Vancouver are about to get a whole lot more magical. Theatre Under the Stars 2026 Season is back at Stanley Park’s iconic Malkin Bowl—and this year’s lineup is pure feel-good energy.
Running July 3 through August 22, the beloved open-air theatre series is serving up two Broadway favourites: Sister Act and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Translation: big vocals, bigger heart, and the kind of storytelling that hits just right under a canopy of stars.
On land, Sister Act brings the high-energy, soul-filled story of Deloris Van Cartier—a disco diva turned accidental choir leader—delivering joy, laughter, and a whole lot of powerhouse performances. Under the sea, The Little Mermaid promises a visually stunning escape, following Ariel’s journey of curiosity, courage, and finding her voice.
And really, that’s the theme of the entire season: bold choices, big dreams, and stepping into who you’re meant to be. As TUTS General Manager Kevin Woo puts it, this is a summer about “the courage it takes to find your voice and unleash your true potential.”
