Dating app fatigue is officially real—and Simply Spiked is leaning all the way into it.
According to new data, 78% of Zillennials say they’re over the endless swipe cycle and craving more spontaneous, real-world connection. So to celebrate the launch of its new BOLD lineup, Simply Spiked is helping Canadians ditch the algorithms and make, well… bold moves instead.
The campaign? Turning giant billboards across Canada into literal dating profiles.
This summer, three adventurous Canadian singles—Julia, Jailen, and Vanessa—are putting themselves out there in a very public way, appearing on massive billboards in Toronto and Montreal as part of the brand’s playful new matchmaking campaign.
And yes, you can actually shoot your shot.
Curious romantics can scan the QR codes featured on the billboards or visit the campaign microsite to learn more about each single, answer a “bold dating question,” upload a photo, and potentially land a real-life match.
Honestly, in an era of dead-end Hinge conversations and “circling back” texts three business days later, there’s something refreshingly chaotic—and kind of charming—about flirting via billboard.
The campaign also coincides with the launch of Simply Spiked’s new BOLD beverage lineup, designed to channel the same adventurous energy the brand hopes Canadians bring into their summer dating lives.
Because apparently hot girl summer now includes outdoor advertising. —Noa Nichol
