As Vancouver continues to welcome soccer fans from around the globe, two of the city’s luxury hotels are proving that World Cup excitement isn’t limited to the pitch.
This summer, JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and the DOUGLAS, Autograph Collection have partnered with Vancouver-born floral design sensation Fleurs de Villes to create Garden of Goals—a series of spectacular soccer-inspired floral installations that transform the hotels into some of the most Instagram-worthy destinations of the tournament.
Running through July 9, the limited-time displays celebrate the spirit of FIFA World Cup 2026™ through larger-than-life botanical artistry, blending Vancouver creativity with the energy of the world’s most-watched sporting event.
At JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, guests are greeted by an oversized three-dimensional soccer ball crafted from seasonal flowers, greenery, moss, and botanical elements. Inside the Executive Lounge, a six-foot floral trophy installation offers another jaw-dropping photo moment. Meanwhile, over at the DOUGLAS, the property’s iconic living wall has been transformed into a lush tribute to Canadian soccer.
Created by local floral studio Aromatears Floral Co., the installations combine fresh and silk florals, succulents, moss, and intricate design details that showcase the craftsmanship for which Fleurs de Villes has become internationally renowned.
The result is equal parts art installation, fan celebration, and summer photo opportunity.
“Together with JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and the DOUGLAS, we’re honouring The Beautiful Game in the most beautiful way we know how: through flowers,” says Karen Marshall, co-founder of Fleurs de Villes. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to welcome visitors from around the globe, showcase the incredible talent of our local floral artists, and create something memorable for visitors and the Vancouver community alike.”
The floral installations are just one part of the World Cup festivities happening at the hotels.
At JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, soccer-inspired food and beverage offerings include elevated Matchday Platters featuring Canadian Lobster Poutine, specialty cocktails like the Penalty Paloma and Clean Sheet Collins, and indulgent sweet treats including soccer ball macarons and warm mini donuts. Over at the hotel’s rooftop Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot pop-up, live music and celebratory programming add even more energy to match days throughout the tournament.
Visitors can also turn their floral photo op into a potential getaway. Guests and locals who snap photos with the installations and share them on Instagram while tagging the hotels will be entered for the chance to win one of two grand prizes: a two-night stay at either JW Marriott Parq Vancouver or the DOUGLAS.
In a city already buzzing with World Cup excitement, Garden of Goals offers something uniquely Vancouver—a celebration where sport, hospitality, art, and flowers come together in full bloom.
And unlike the matches themselves, these photo-worthy goals are guaranteed to stick around all tournament long. —Noa Nichol
