Far from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown is Trilogie—an Asian restaurant that brings peaceful surroundings and punchy flavours to the Villeray neighborhood.
Open only for lunch, this eatery is a family affair, with owner Anita Feng’s aunts in the kitchen and mother and sister running the service up front. We ordered a round of vegetarian dumplings and found coriander, sesame seeds, green onions and crushed peanuts packed inside. Next, a crushed cucumber salad balanced with a black vinegar, spicy house sauce, dried chilies, Sichuan rosemary and spicy peanut dressing.
Trilogie is a perfect trifecta: family, delectable dishes and a perfect space. —Ariella Starkman
