Glad to Eat

May 30, 2014

gladstone cafeThe Gladstone Café is geared up for summer with a refreshed menu (don’t worry, the Queen W eatery is still focused on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, plus a Pan-Asian theme).

Cocktail-wise, order the Blackberry G&T ($11.30)—an intricate take on the classic gin and tonic with muddled blackberries and mint leaves. The Blue Crab Salad ($10), served on charred romaine hearts with fennel-roasted tomatoes and coconut lime dressing, is a must-starter. Also impressive: the Vinadaloo Pork ($18), which is perfectly balanced by brown-butter confit grapes, baby potatoes and endives.

After dinner, peruse the Gladstone Hotel’s other venues and make it a night out. —Anya Georgijevic
