Vegan dining often veers toward casual and homey. Grasslands (the revamped Fressen, a longtime vegan favourite) is turning that stereotype on its head.
Boasting luxe booths, sleek pendant lighting and nothing-homey-about-it tree-stump furniture, Grasslands’ menu satisfied even the carnivore in our group. The Monster Burger, featuring delicious a black bean and seitan patty, comes with a hot kick of spicy ketchup and pairs well with the Strawberry Smash cocktail—a refreshing concoction of berries and cukes.
