Birks recently showcased some truly one-of-a-kind pieces at the new Graff Boutique in Vancouver: we’re talking jewels so rare, they were in town for mere hours!
The standout piece was a ring featuring a stone from the Lesedi La Rona: a 1,109-carat diamond (the largest rough diamond found in over a century). The near-16-carat emerald-cut diamond is one of more than 60 diamonds, ranging in size from one carat to more than 100 and each possessing Top D colour, that have been cut from the main stone.
While the ring has since moved on to new locales, you can learn more about it here—and, if you’re keen, inquire to purchase one of these stunning gems and own a piece of diamond history. —Vita Daily
