We relived teenage fantasies yesterday by sneaking into a fancy downtown
hotel (OK, so we were accompanied by the PR but don’t ruin our reverie)
for an advance peek of the haute Loden
Vancouver opening to the public on October 18.
With hotel staff abuzzdelivering remote controls, polishing marble,
finalizing the menu andthe absolute cutestbellmen doing role playing
games of greeting guests at the curb, the place was a model of
efficiency and California style.
We recommend the top floor "Halo" penthouse (for a mere $3,000 a night)
with its wrap-around deck, silver wallpaper, and heavenly colour scheme
of pale blue, tan and white. Only you get to decide if you’ll be an
angel or not.
