Our favourite buns are not in Chinatown.
Hào, a tiny counter on Rachel Street, is where we’ve been succumbing to our bun cravings over the past few months. The menu is super short: organic pork (from Boucherie au Pignon Vert) or vegetarian buns, plus a cucumber salad and that’s about it. But believe us when we say that the out-of-this-world flavours and textures—based on cherished family recipes, no less!—leave absolutely nothing to be desired.
Breaking: The teeny-tiny counter space is expanding into roomier digs. We can’t wait. —Christine Laroche
