Meet Celebs & Get Your Cosplay On At Vancouver’s Fan Expo (Win!)

Pop culture lovers rejoice! Fan Expo Vancouver is back for Family Day Weekend, February 18 to 20, 2023, at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Come one, come all (get your tickets here) to hear celebrity guests from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Mandalorian, Star Trek and more live on stage (or meet them at photo ops and autograph sessions), enjoy hundreds of hours of panels and activities throughout six dynamic programming spaces, check out the incredible cosplay of fellow attendees throughout the halls or at the Cosplay Red Carpet, and shop hundreds of artists and exhibitors specializing in original artwork, graphic novels, collectibles, memorabilia, games, toys, T-shirts and more.

This is an all-ages event that’s super family friendly; in fact, there’s going to be an an expanded Family Zone packed with activities. “It’s truly special to be sharing Family Day weekend with fans of all ages, and families of all kinds,” says Fan Expo HQ VP Andrew Moyes. “This year’s show is going to feel busier than ever, with our biggest programming lineup ever and an awesome special guest roster. Whatever you’re a fan of, you’ll probably find it at Fan Expo Vancouver—there really is something for everyone.”

Some special highlights we’re looking forward to: Poké-Monday, where fans can attempt to “catch ’em all” as FXV celebrates all things Pokémon on Monday. Guests will have the chance to meet the voice behind “Ash Ketchum”, Sarah Natochenny, test their Pokémon knowledge during trivia, make a pom-pom Pikachu, hunt for Pokémon around the convention centre, head to Pokémon training camp and more. Also, the K-Pop Dance Class with K-Pop Dance troupe UBC K-Wave and the Kids Cosplay Contest, where future stars of cosplay aged 12 and under will demonstrate their skills in FXV’s first youth cosplay competition.
