What do you get when you combine a rowing workout with a sweaty dance party in an underground club? Say hello to Club Row.
Founded by Vancouver fitness pro Nathan Morris, this first-of-its-kind (in the 604, at least) rowing studio recently opened its doors on East Georgia, providing a full-body workout (we’re talking legs, arms and core) in a dark-ish candlelit room. Our test class moved through low and high bouts of intensity, set to music beats that inspired us to sweat—hard. Love numbers (not to mention, competing against others)? Every rowing machine in this club features a monitor to track speed and distance.
And the best part? It all happens in less than an hour (a.k.a., our kind of lunch break). —Aurea Dempsey
