When I lived in Toronto, in my 20s, my dwellings consisted of a series of cramped, boxy apartments furnished with things I’d found in the street. I loved it—likely because I didn’t know any better. Stay

I don’t care what other hotels claim; the beds (and bedding) at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is, IMO, the very best. And, beyond getting the dreamiest sleep of your life atop a cloud-like mattress and between kitten-soft sheets, the rooms at this hotel are a pleasure to be awake in, too. From the elegant-yet-relaxing décor to the fragrant Frederic Malle bath products to the iPad that puts nearly all the hotel’s services at your fingertips, they’re everything my Toronto rentals of yore weren’t.

Spa

The best way to experience the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is with two head-to-toe-targeting treatments, with time in-between to enjoy the pool, hot tub and steam room. Start with an Age-Defying Body Wrap, which combines dry brushing to stimulate the lymphatic system with a full-body shea butter application and a coconut and passionflower scalp massage. For the face, Blue Diamond Skin Therapy targets tired and stressed skin, using hollyhock flower stem cells to energize cellular function and visibly rejuvenate. This dreamy treatment ends with a Hungarian face massage and cooling derma globes. (Beauty bonus: the spa robes emulate the hotel’s dreamy beds!)

Savour

From French cuisine at Café Boulud to cocktails and casual dining at d|bar, dining at the Four Seasons Toronto is chef’s kiss. At Café Boulud, caviar comes with potato blinis, shallots, chives, crème fraîche and egg, and, on Rotisserie Night, the who King Cole duck is paired with caramelized Anjou pears, glazed turnips, sautéed swiss chard, duck confit risotto and Grand Marnier duck jus. Dinner is offered at d|bar, too, but, for a treat, book the L’Amour Afternoon Tea, which includes savoury and sweet bites, as well as scones, and a glass of Moët & Chandon Rosé champagne​ or a specialty mocktail.
